Join us and play a key role in the developing our Squad Swimmers in our Swimming Training Scheme (BTS). The BTS works in partnership with Barnet Copthall Swimming Club providing the training sessions for the swimmers within the Club. More information about the BTS can be found on their website. This is your chance to deliver a safe, consistent coached programme of sessions for our swim squads along with working with an established team of coaches.
As an experienced swimming coach, you'll thrive on supporting people to achieve their potential. An Assistant Head Coach will draw on their knowledge of planning, practices, progression and coaching points and apply it in the most effective way, whilst supporting and guiding your team of coaches. Naturally, there'll be some administration involved, but rest assured that almost all your time will be spent doing what you do best, coaching swimmers to develop their potential.
We're looking for an Assistant Head Swimming Coach who is approachable, with the friendly, patient nature needed to build people's trust, motivate swimmers and encourage with praise. You'll need to have: Minimum - Swim England Assistant Swimming Coach Certificate/ASA Level 1 Coaching Award Desirable - Swim England Swimming Coach Certificate/ASA Level 2 Coaching Award 5 Years Experience coaching Development Swimmers ages 5 years to 13 years of age to the top end of Regional Level (finals).
Knowledge of nutrition, land training and physiology of swimmers of the above age. The basics: This is a permanent position of 30hrs/week.
