Compensation Amount:27.50 USD HourlyJob Summary:Under the direction of the Restaurant Manager, assist in management of all aspects of the restaurant operations of a fine dining restaurant. Responsibilities will include the supervision of the front of house operation of the restaurant. Maintain a consistently high standard of guest service, sanitation, cleanliness, product presentation, and cost control.

Assist in supervision of fine dining restaurant staff to ensure tasks are completed in a friendly, safe and efficient manner. Respond to and resolve food and guest issues as they arise.Job Description:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSMonitor, problem solve, and direct staff to ensure efficient and safe completion of all tasks dailyAssist in training, on-boarding, and scheduling staffCommunicate regularly and professionally with numerous people including General Manager, Food & Beverage Manager, Restaurant Manager, Chefs and Cooks to ensure safe, professional, and efficient food serviceParticipate in team meetings as necessary to maintain high level standardsUnder guidance of Restaurant Manager, participate in and give working direction for special eventsSupervise staff appropriately to enforce standards and minimize personnel conflictsAssist in maintaining department records such as schedules, payroll, deposits, tips, and daily cash reportsPerforms other related duties as directed or requiredSKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDEHigh School Diploma/G.E.D.

equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferredRestaurant management experience strongly preferredFood Safety certification; strong sanitation skills; alcohol service TIPS or MAST certificationBasic computer knowledge & ability including Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and food service POS systemsPHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTSMove about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit.

Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environmentLift, carry, and push up to 15 lbs. regularly, 20-30 lbs. frequently, and up to 40 lbs. occasionallyWithstand temperature extremes in freezer, walk-in refrigerator, and grill areasAble to stand for extended periodsSpeech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of co-workers and the ability to speak clearly to be understood by same in English; read and write in EnglishPhysical presence at the job site is essential to perform job dutiesEQUIPMENT USEDFood service POS (Point of Sale) system including cash register and credit card terminal, combination safeTypical office equipment (computer, phone system, fax, copier, scanner, among others.)Founded in 1917, Guest Services has worked tirelessly to earn the reputation as the premier hospitality management company and National Park Service concessionaire in the United States.
