What You Will Do Serves as the Executive Director's chief operating partner and delegated authority for Center operations. Establishes operational priorities, allocates resources, directs staff activities, approves operational actions, resolves organizational issues, and implements process improvements.
Oversees project budgeting, financial forecasting, cost tracking, invoicing, and revenue monitoring to support the Center's financial health. Participates in development of strategic initiatives designed to expand research, testing, and commercial partnerships. Develops and implements operational procedures, performance standards, and project governance practices. Ensures compliance with university policies, contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and sponsor expectations.
Identifies opportunities for collaboration and partnerships within the external community. Directs and oversees a portfolio of research, testing, operational, and industry-sponsored projects from initiation through completion. Serves as a primary operational liaison with industry partners, faculty researchers, sponsors, vendors, and university stakeholders. Serves as back up to the Executive Director of NCERC during their absence.
Develops operational and financial dashboards to monitor project performance, workload, revenue generation, and resource utilization. FLSA: Exempt Minimum Acceptable Qualifications -Bachelors degree. -A total of three (3) years (36 months) in education, training and/or work experience in the area of specialization inherent to the position.(Note: Masters Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year of work experience.
AND Years can be concurrent with above experience -3 years of demonstrated work experience in areas relevant to the duties such as project budgeting, or financial forecasting, or project revenue monitoring, or process improvements or developing strategic initiatives to improve operational performance. -5+ years of work experience in the manufacturing/processing industry Preferred Qualifications - MBA - Demonstrated work experience in the areas of project budgeting, and financial forecasting, and project revenue monitoring, and process improvements and developing strategic initiatives to improve operational performance.
