This position requires advanced knowledge of CNC machining processes, including 3-axis and 5-axis equipment, G/M coding, machine offsets, tooling, feeds and speeds, and interpretation of engineering drawings and production specifications. The role also supports robotic and automated manufacturing systems, assists with equipment deployment and operational readiness, collects operational data, escalates complex technical issues to engineering, and serves as a technical resource by training new Machine Operators.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Operate Advanced Automated Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment to fabricate solid surface partsMaintain full and current understanding of CNC machinery including G and M coding, maintenance, etc.Read and analyze drawings for accurate pattern customizationInterpret and load all work order ticket programs as needed on all CNC machineryProgram and operate CNC mills, lathes, or routers according to work instructions and safety guidelines.Troubleshoot major diagnostics & maintenance on assigned equipmentOccasionally verify piece dimensions against ticket requirements utilizing measuring toolsInspect and verify piece & parts dimensions using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
Monitor machine performance and report issues to machinists or supervisors.Perform machine offsets and minor adjustments to maintain part quality.Maintain or exceed expected output on pieces per hourTrain all new Machine Operators as necessaryFollow all safety and quality standards.Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety proceduresOther duties may be assigned to meet business needsResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor robotic systems during testing and production activitiesTroubleshoot major diagnostics & maintenance on assigned equipmentConduct routine equipment inspectionsSupport robot deployment, setup, and operational readiness checksCollect operational data and maintain activity logsVerify task completion and quality standardsAssist with hardware swaps and peripheral equipment replacementKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 5+ years CNC machining experience.Expert knowledge of machining processes, and shop safety practices, including exposure to 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining.Familiarity with CAD software workflows and knowledge of CNC programming concepts (e.g., toolpaths, feeds and speeds, G/M codes), with an understanding of how these apply to multi-axis machining.Ability to read and use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and indicators.Ability to interpret simple engineering drawings, including basic tolerances and part features.Mechanical apt
