We are seeking 4 motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Therapiststo join our innovativeExperts at Handmultidisciplinary team in Cheshire West and Chester! This is an exciting opportunity to work differently, moving beyond a traditional caseload model to provide consultation, advice, training and targeted support for children and young people with complex needs. Working as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you will use your occupational therapy expertise to support professionals, educational settings, families and wider partner agencies to develop effective strategies that improve participation, independence and outcomes.
As part of the Experts at Hand team, you will work closely with colleagues from health, education and social care to support complex cases, share specialist knowledge and help build capacity within the wider workforce. As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist within Experts at Hand, you will: Provide occupational therapy consultation and advice for children and young people with a range of developmental, sensory, physical and neurodevelopmental needs.
Work in partnership with schools, colleges and educational settings to identify practical strategies that support participation, learning and independence. Contribute to multidisciplinary discussions around children and young people with complex presentations. Support the assessment, planning and implementation of occupational therapy recommendations within educational and community settings. Assist in the development and delivery of training, workshops and learning opportunities for education staff, families and professionals.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across health, education and social care to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people. Support the implementation of evidence-based practice and contribute to service development initiatives. Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to audit, quality improvement and governance activities. Promote a strengths-based, person-centred approach that empowers children, young people and those who support them.
