This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled paediatric nurse with strong clinical, educational and leadership experience to make a real difference to the development of our nursing workforce and the care we provide to children, young people and their families. The post holder will provide expert clinical leadership and specialist paediatric advice, while leading education, training, induction, preceptorship and clinical skills development.

You will also lead and support quality improvement, audit, governance and the implementation of evidence-based practice and national guidance., You will provide expert clinical leadership and specialist paediatric advice across our services, acting as a visible role model for safe, evidence-based and family-centred care. We are looking for an experienced paediatric nurse who is an excellent communicator, teacher and facilitator, with strong clinical leadership and critical-thinking skills.

You will be approachable and supportive, while confident to constructively challenge and influence others. You will need to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and respond flexibly to changing service needs. With a new hospital planned for Watford, work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital and plans for a neighbourhood healthcare centre in Hemel Hempstead, this is an exciting time to join us.
