Bookkeeper (Construction Industry)Location: Onsite | Central FloridaEmployment Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000Position OverviewA well-established construction company is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support accounting and administrative operations. This role is ideal for an experienced construction accounting professional who understands the financial processes unique to the construction industry, including AIA billing, lien waivers, job costing, and compliance documentation.The Bookkeeper will work closely with project managers and accounting personnel to ensure accurate financial reporting, timely billing, and efficient management of accounts payable and receivable functions.Key ResponsibilitiesManage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processesPrepare and file Notices to Owner (NTOs)Process and manage AIA billingsPrepare, track, and collect lien waiversReconcile corporate credit card statementsReconcile job cost reports and project-related financial recordsMaintain accurate accounting documentation and recordsProvide general administrative and accounting supportCollaborate with project management and accounting teams to support ongoing construction projectsQualificationsMinimum of 3 years of bookkeeping and construction accounting experienceStrong understanding of construction accounting practicesExperience with Florida construction lien law requirements preferredExperience processing AIA billings and managing lien waiversStrong Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experienceExperience with accounting software such as Sage, Oracle, or similar ERP systems preferredProficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills and a team-oriented approachDegree not required; relevant construction accounting experience is highly valuedWhy Join?Stable, established company within the commercial construction industryCollaborative and supportive team environmentOpportunity to contribute to a growing organizationCompetitive compensation based on experienceExcellent BenefitsThis position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in the construction industry and is experienced in managing project-related financial processes from billing through closeout.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
