Northumberland County Council is offering an exciting opportunity to join our organisation as a Business Administrator Apprentice. This apprenticeship combines valuable workplace experience with structured learning, enabling you to achieve the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard and develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed for a successful career in business administration.
Working within our Democratic Services Team, you will support in delivering high-quality administrative services, whilst developing skills in communication, organisation, customer service, problem solving, digital technologies and stakeholder engagement. What You'll Be Doing: As a Business Administrator Apprentice, you will support the service by: Managing emails, telephone calls and enquiries from internal and external customers.
Creating, maintaining and updating records, files and information systems. Producing accurate documents, reports and correspondence. Using a range of IT systems and software packages to record, manage and analyse information. Developing an understanding of Council services, policies and procedures. About the Apprenticeship The apprenticeship will be delivered by Northumberland Skills and during the programme you will learn how to: Communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
Use business systems and digital technologies confidently. Plan and organise your workload effectively. Build strong working relationships with stakeholders. Deliver high-quality administrative support. Understand business processes, policies and compliance requirements. Work professionally and demonstrate initiative and responsibility. We're seeking enthusiastic individuals who are motivated to learn and develop their career.
You will have: GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above in English and Maths (or equivalent). Good numeracy and literacy skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good IT skills and confidence using digital systems. A commitment to learning and achieving a Level 3 qualification. We're looking for applicants who demonstrate: Professionalism and integrity.
