Location: Aylesbury Overview The Opportunity: Are you looking to start your career in business administration? We're seeking a motivated and enthusiastic apprentice to join our Corporate Business Support Team supporting Children's Services. As a Level 2 Business Administrator Apprentice, you'll learn whilst you earn, gaining practical experience in a busy and supportive team while working towards a recognised qualification.

You'll develop valuable skills in administration, communication, organisation and customer service, supported every step of the way by experienced colleagues. Corporate Business Support provides professional administrative support to services across Buckinghamshire Council. You'll be joining a friendly and supportive team with experience of mentoring apprentices and trainees and helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the workplace. About the role In this role, you'll contribute to providing business administration support for Children's Services while working towards a Level 2 Business Administrator Apprenticeship.

You'll join our Corporate Business Support team and gain practical experience supporting a busy administrative service that helps deliver essential services across Buckinghamshire Council. We will provide training, mentoring and dedicated study time during your working week to help you develop your skills and achieve your qualification, meaning no evening or weekend study is required. You will work towards being able to undertake the range of duties listed below: Provide general administrative and clerical support.

Respond to customer and colleague enquiries by telephone, email and Microsoft Teams. Process, input, maintain and retrieve information from council systems and databases. Produce documents, reports and correspondence. Support meetings, including preparing paperwork and taking minutes. Order stationery and office supplies. Support managers and colleagues with a variety of administrative tasks. Develop an understanding of council policies, procedures and business processes.

Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers. Any-Desk: As an 'any-desk' worker, you'll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements. About you Skills required: Able to organise and prioritise your own workload to meet deadlines.

Good verbal and written communication skills. Basic IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Outlook and Teams. Willingness and ability to learn new systems and processes. Good attention to detail and accuracy when completing tasks. Able to maintain confidentiality and handle information appropriately. Good customer service skills and a professional approach when dealing with colleagues and customers.
