We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Business Development Lead Location: Opebi-Ikeja, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time About the Role We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Lead to drive the adoption of our cooperative society management software.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and converting cooperative societies, thrift societies, unions, credit unions, and related organisations into clients while building strong long-term business relationships. Key Responsibilities Identify and target cooperative societies, thrift societies, credit unions, unions, and similar organisations. Generate leads through networking, association meetings, referrals, online platforms, and direct outreach.

Research potential clients, industry trends, and market opportunities to build a strong sales pipeline. Engage decision-makers and understand their business and operational needs. Conduct product demonstrations and clearly communicate the value and benefits of the software. Prepare tailored proposals and presentations based on client requirements. Manage the sales process from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and closing.

Negotiate payment plans, contract duration, volume packages, and onboarding arrangements within approved company guidelines. Build and maintain long-term client relationships to drive renewals, referrals, and repeat business. Work closely with product, technical, implementation, and support teams to ensure smooth client onboarding. Track sales activities, pipeline performance, revenue forecasts, and conversion rates.

Provide market and customer feedback to support product and sales strategy improvements. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in business development, B2B sales, SaaS, or software sales. Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets. Experience selling to cooperative societies, financial institutions, unions, or community-based organisations is an advantage.

Strong lead generation, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong relationship-building and client management abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Basic knowledge of accounting principles and cooperative financial operations is highly preferred. Self-motivated, organised, target-driven, and comfortable working independently.
