The UK&I Process Automation (PA) business is seeking to add a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for developing our business within the Gas Utilities/Midstream segment. With a focus on Digital Transformation driven by changes in legislation particularly from a Cyber Security aspect, this role will identify new sales leads and project opportunities for both new and existing end users whilst developing new offers using a consultative technical sales approach.
Through strategic planning, opportunity analysis, and relationship building the successful candidate will look to establish and grow Schneiders footprint within this segment. Responsibilities: + Managing a dynamic opportunity portfolio across UK&I major utilities Companies. + Generating healthy pipeline of opportunities working closely with offer managers to meet customer requirements. + Creating and maintaining meaningful and trusted relationships across the Utilities segment, especially high level decision makers and technical authorities.
Leveraging these relationships during pursuit and execution is key to succeeding in this role. + Gaining preferred status in project specifications for Schneider Electric products, software and solutions in order to maximize our offers particularly around Software and Cyber Security solutions. + Analysing customer requirements and working within the Schneider eco-system to address. + The expectation is that all Business Development Manager candidates will have the interest and capacity to learn and articulate disruptive digital transformation solutions.
+ Create and maintain close working relationships with customer C Level as well as internal Schneider Sales Managers, Business Development Managers, Tendering, Commercial & Project Delivery teams. + Work independently as the key Midstream business development manager in a geographic area and with key accounts. + Proven experience in business development and software solution sales. + Strong expertise within the Utilities, Water, Wastewater, or Energy & Chemicals sectors.
+ Solid understanding of customer processes, industry challenges, and digital solutions. + Experience working within matrix organisations and managing complex stakeholder environments. + Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills. + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment. + Proactive, results-oriented, and accountable, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.
