Busser / Runner Gansevoort Meatpacking NYC New York, NY Pay: $15.00 per hour + tips Position Overview Gansevoort Meatpacking NYC is seeking energetic, dependable, and service-oriented Bussers / Runners to join our Food & Beverage team. This role is an essential part of the guest experience and supports Servers, Bartenders, and the overall restaurant team by ensuring tables are properly maintained, food is delivered promptly, and service areas remain clean, organized, and fully stocked.
The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively with the team, and takes pride in providing efficient and polished hospitality. Responsibilities Assist Servers and other Food & Beverage team members throughout service. Deliver food from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately. Clear, clean, reset, and properly maintain tables throughout service. Ensure tables are stocked with appropriate silverware, glassware, napkins, and other service items.
Refill water and assist with guest needs as directed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and back-of-house areas. Communicate effectively with Servers, kitchen staff, management, and other team members. Assist with opening and closing duties. Restock service areas and supplies as needed. Follow food safety, sanitation, and Company service standards. Assist with restaurant service, special events, activations, rooftop operations, pool service, and other Food & Beverage operations as assigned.
Perform additional duties as needed to support the operation. Qualifications Previous restaurant, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred. Experience in a high-volume or upscale environment is a plus. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Professional, dependable, punctual, and attentive to detail. Ability to follow directions and prioritize multiple tasks.
Positive attitude and strong sense of urgency. Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays . Physical Requirements Candidates must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, move quickly and safely throughout the restaurant and property, carry trays and service items, and regularly lift, carry, push, pull, or move up to 30 pounds.
