Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Cardiac Anesthesiologist, you will join our collaborative and growing team at St. Joseph Medical Center (SJMC). SJMC is a 385 bed, Level II Trauma, tertiary care medical center in downtown Tacoma. Every day you will support our long-standing 3-star STS cardiac surgery program and growing interventional platform. Case mix includes open heart, high risk thoracic/vascular, electrophysiology, and structural heart cases (with care team supervision in EP lab).
To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board-certified, and compassionate Cardiac Anesthesiologist. We are offering a guaranteed annual salary of $625,000, starting bonus, relocation assistance, up to $50,000 /year in performance bonuses, $3,500/year CME support ($5,000 if echo boarded), 8 weeks vacation, generous employer-subsidized benefits including both 401(k) and 457(b) plans with employer matching in the 401(k).

Job Requirements Required Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology (ABA) Completion of Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Active Washington State Medical License, or eligible for licensure Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to all patients and families Preferred 2+ years experience following training EPIC experience Where You’ll Work
