Cardiology NP/PA Opportunity - Green Mountains of Vermont An immediate opening is available for a hospital-based Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a team of board-certified cardiologists. Position Responsibilities Evaluate cardiology consults and provide follow-up care to hospitalized patients under the supervision of a cardiologist Care for interventional cardiology patients before and after procedures Coordinate follow-up care and communicate with hospitalists, primary care providers, cardiologists, and other members of the care team Assist with managing patients with a variety of cardiac diagnoses Receive training in the supervision of cardiac stress tests, as needed Accurately document patient care using eClinicalWorks and Epic Schedule Three 10-hour shifts per week Daytime coverage Rotating daytime weekend coverage approximately every fourth weekend Qualifications Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Massachusetts Valid Drug Enforcement Administration certificate Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration Familiarity with cardiac diagnoses, procedures, and commonly prescribed cardiac medications Experience caring for cardiac catheterization patients is desirable but not required Ability to work effectively within a specialty cardiology team and hospital environment New graduates may be considered based on previous clinical experience, interest in cardiology, and willingness to learn Compensation Salary: $135,000 annually Benefits include: Health insurance Malpractice coverage 401(k) retirement plan Continuing medical education allowance Paid time off Full Advanced Practice Provider benefits RecruitWell's Core Values: Open communication Sense of urgency Teamwork Accountability Driven to win Higher consciousness
