This role focuses on weekend 24-hour call coverage , supporting urgent cardiac surgical cases in a fast-paced hospital environment . 💰 Competitive Pay: ~$1,326/day + additional call-back incentives 🔍 Key Responsibilities Provide cardiothoracic surgical support during on-call shifts ❤️‍🔥 Assist in urgent and emergent cardiac cases (cath lab → OR) 🔪 Manage pre- and post-operative care , including ICU patients 🏥 Support patient progression from ICU to discharge Perform vein harvesting and assist in surgical procedures Collaborate with cardiac surgeons and care teams 👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️ Document all care using EPIC EMR 💻 🗓️ Schedule Highlights Start Date: May 10, 2026 📅 Ongoing assignment 3 weekends per month 🗓️ Shift: Friday 5 PM – Monday 7 AM 24-hour call coverage throughout the weekend ⏰ Average ~4 hours/day callback work 🎓 Qualifications Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) Board Certified/Eligible (relevant surgical specialty preferred) Active Pennsylvania license (or willingness to obtain) Minimum 3 years of experience required DEA certification required ⭐ Preferred Experience Strong background in cardiothoracic or cardiac surgery Experience with ICU-level care and post-op management Proficiency in vein harvesting and surgical assistance Familiarity with EPIC EMR system 💼 Assignment Details Locum Tenens opportunity with consistent weekend coverage 🔄 All hours are billable 💰 Work in a 163-bed hospital setting Supported by APP team and surgeon backup after consults 🚀 Why Consider This Opportunity?
