Cardiothoracic Surgery PA Locum – Atlantic City, NJ – $120–$140/hr (Negotiable)

We are currently seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C) with a background in Cardiothoracic Surgery to assist an established hospital-based team in Atlantic City, NJ . This is an urgent need due to upcoming staffing changes. Position Overview: Location: Atlantic City, NJ Practice Setting: Inpatient / Hospital-Based EMR: Cerner Trauma Level: Not designated trauma Schedule Details: Weekdays (Monday–Friday): 8–10 hour in-house shifts Night Call: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM Weekend Call: Friday 6:00 PM – Monday 6:00 AM Includes rounding from 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM Saturday & Sunday Clinical Duties: Daily rounding (ICU & floor): 5–12 patients/day Operative volume: ~2 patients/day Includes consults, coordination of care, and first assist Required Procedures: Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) Chest tube insertions Retrieval of vascular tissues for bypass conduit First assist in cardiac surgeries Responsibilities: Surgical assisting in CT surgery cases Pre- and post-operative care Diagnose and treat illnesses Order/interpreting tests Rounding and care coordination Suture removal Write/manage prescriptions Compensation & Benefits: 💲 Rate: $120–$140/hr (Negotiable) ✈️ Transportation arranged and covered 🏨 Housing/lodging provided 🛡️ Malpractice insurance included Submission Requirements: NCCPA Certification – Required Active New Jersey PA License – Required 2–3+ years’ Cardiothoracic Surgery experience – Required Proficiency in EVH & First Assist – Required Experience with Cerner EMR – Preferred BLS & ACLS (active) – Required This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a strong surgical team while earning premium rates and having all logistics taken care of.
