Job IntroductionWe’re recruiting Care Assistants to join our Supported Housing for Older People service at Milton Keynes City Council. In this rewarding role, you’ll support older people to live with dignity, independence and choice. This may include supporting people living with dementia or complex health needs.
Our Adult Services team supports some of the most vulnerable people in our community, providing essential care as part of a 24/7 service. As a Care Assistant, you’ll help make a real difference each day by delivering person-centred care, building positive relationships, and working closely with colleagues, families and other professionals. We welcome applicants with care experience, but this is not essential.
This role would suit someone starting out in care, as long as you bring a compassionate approach and a willingness to learn. Shift Pattern These positions operate on a rolling two-week rota and include a mixture of early, late and weekend shifts. Typical shift times: Early Shift: 7:00am - 2:00pm Late Shift: 2:00pm - 9:00pm Twilight Shift: 4:00pm - 9:00pm We currently have vacancies 36 hours per week 28.5 hours per week Both roles include a combination of weekday and weekend working as part of a planned rota.
