The College is seeking to appoint responsible individuals to help with school trips and visits. The role is based at Queen Mary's College where our fleet of minibuses reside, from this location Minibus Drivers are required to drive to various locations to collect and/or drop off students. The students will vary in age from primary school ages to teenager; the same care and respect is expected to be afforded to all., To safely transport minibus passengers including college students and local school children to and from the College campus., Responsibility for carrying out regular vehicle checks, fuelling and cleaning duties to specific standards To log each journey To liaise closely with the member of staff responsible for booking for the trip To report any vehicle defects immediately to the Site Services Manager To ensure that vehicle checks are carried out as necessary To ensure compliance with Health and Safety including the Colleges Code of Practice on Safe Use of Minibuses.

To treat staff and students with dignity and respect at all times To comply with college policies Be willing to undertake training as necessary. Salary: £13.90 per hour, plus holiday (point 9 on the Sixth Form Colleges Support Staff pay scale). Conditions of Service: Sixth Form Colleges Support Staff Normal working hours: Casual, hours as agreed Hours will normally be worked term-time between 8.30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. Evenings and weekends are possible but will be agreed in conjunction with staff. Holiday: As the role is casual and additional holiday allowance is paid separately on top of the hourly rate.

Other terms of employment: The successful candidate will have the choice whether or not to join the Local Government Pension Scheme. The College contributes a monthly sum equivalent to 17% of your salary, whilst staff contribute 5.5% -6%. The College is a no smoking site.
