The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check, including barred list information, as this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Safeguarding training is mandatory for all employees and will form part of your induction and ongoing CPD. South Staffordshire College is seeking a dedicated Catering Technician to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis.

As a key member of our Catering department, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment for both learners and staff. Key Responsibilities Include: · Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures. · Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of equipment and facilities. · Prepare and develop equipment and materials for student and lecturer use.

· Control stock and consumables to optimize resources and reduce waste. · Deliver training to small groups and individuals to support their learning objectives. · Participate in College events such as open days, parent's evenings, and recruitment activities. · Relevant level 2 or above qualification in catering. · Food hygiene qualification. · Proven experience in a similar vocational role. · Knowledge of IT systems and health & safety practices.

· Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. · Ability to work flexibly, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
