Glenmont Job Corps Center is looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable nursing professional to join our Education & Training Team as a CNA Instructor! You'll use your real-world nursing experience to teach young adults the skills, professionalism, and confidence they need to become Certified Nursing Assistants and begin careers in healthcare. Think of this position as part nurse educator, part hands-on skills trainer, part mentor, and part career coach.

Schedule Monday-Friday | 7:45 AM-4:45 PM Compensation $65,000 annually Licensure/Certification Candidates must meet applicable New York State certification, licensing, and/or accreditation requirements for the position. What Does a CNA Instructor Do? Simply put: You take the nursing skills you've learned throughout your career and teach them to the next generation. Our students are preparing to enter the healthcare field, and many are learning these skills for the very first time.

You'll provide a combination of classroom instruction, demonstrations, hands-on clinical skills training, coaching, and career preparation to help students successfully complete their training and work toward industry-recognized credentials. Your experience helps turn what's written in a textbook into something students can understand and actually perform. What Will You Teach? You'll help students build the foundational skills they'll need to safely and compassionately care for patients.

Depending on curriculum and program requirements, training may include areas such as: Taking and recording vital signs Proper patient positioning and transfers Infection prevention and control Proper use of personal protective equipment Personal care and activities of daily living Mobility and patient safety Understanding basic patient needs Accurate documentation Communication with patients and healthcare teams Patient privacy and confidentiality Recognizing and appropriately reporting changes in a patient's condition Providing respectful and compassionate patient care Most importantly, you'll teach students something that can't always be learned from a textbook: What it actually means to care for another person.
