Aya Locums is seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for an outpatient Behavioral Health opportunity in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Position Details Start date: ASAP Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 60 days Contract length: One year, with four additional one-year option periods Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Federal holidays excluded One-hour lunch included Full-time preferred; part-time may be considered Hybrid schedule available, with at least 50% of work performed onsite Minimum of eight patient encounters per day Typical volume: 12–16 patients per day Stable medication visits: Approximately 30 minutes New patient visits: Approximately 60 minutes Administrative time: Approximately 2–4 hours per week Cancellation rate: Approximately 20% Clinical Responsibilities Provide outpatient child and adolescent psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment Provide psychopharmacology, individual therapy, family therapy, or a combination of services Develop and evaluate individualized treatment plans Provide psychiatric consultations to Behavioral Health, Primary Care, and other clinical staff Occasionally provide consultations for the inpatient medical unit Provide child psychiatry education and in-service training Coordinate care with therapy, social work, and other clinical services Address adverse childhood experiences in the Pediatric Clinic or shortly afterward Provide ongoing psychiatric support and follow-up care Document all encounters in the electronic health record Consult with Head Start and other community child-serving agencies regarding developmental and mental health services Assess and manage crisis situations, including self-harm concerns Patient Population Patients include children, adolescents, and family members receiving care through the Indian Health Service, including patients from Riverside Indian School.

Common conditions include: ADHD Anxiety and depression Mood and psychotic disorders Eating disorders, including bulimia and anorexia Autism Adverse childhood experiences Crisis and self-harm concerns Practice Setting and Support Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic Occasional inpatient psychiatric consultation Hybrid schedule available Support from social workers, behavioral health technicians, Behavioral Health staff, and hospital specialty services Facility-provided orientation support Dragon dictation available Current EHR is RPMS-based and similar to the VA system Facility is transitioning to Cerner Requirements MD or DO Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry Child and Adolescent Psychiatry training and experience required Successful completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency At least five years of post-residency experience At least two years of experience treating pediatric patients Permanent, current, and unrestricted U.S.

medical license; any state license may be considered for Oklahoma licensure Current DEA registration and state CDS license, if applicable U.S. citizenship Eligibility for associate medical staff membership and facility credentialing Three recent professional references Documentation of malpractice insurance carriers for the past five years Professional liability coverage of $1 million per occurrence and $3 million aggregate BLS certification ACLS required only if working in the Emergency Department, ICU, or as a hospitalist Favorable fingerprint check and background investigation Required child protection and Indian Child Care Worker documentation Proof of rubella and measles immunity, negative tuberculosis screening, and CDC-recommended healthcare worker vaccinations To learn more or be considered, please contact Patrick with Aya Locums and submit your CV, availability, and licensing information.
