A new opportunity has arisen, and we are looking for an enthusiastic, nurturing individual, who has a positive and solution focused attitude to join our team, as a class teacher within our Intensive Support Provision. We are looking to recruit a teacher for one of our classes in our Intensive Support Provision (ISP), as our Intensive Support Provision is increasing to three classes. This post is a full-time, fixed term post, until April 2027 (in the first instance).
The teacher appointed will be required to work closely with the ISP team and Senior Leadership Team, families, and partners to promote inclusion. You will be responsible for planning to improve outcomes for our children through individual planning and target setting. Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorship for this post. Skills & Experience Required We are looking for a positive and reflective teacher who has experience in supporting children with a range of additional support needs including supporting children with autism, social and communication adaptations, physical and sensory profile.
We are looking for a positive and creative person who will plan a curriculum and create an environment that is inclusive and incorporates visual supports, sensory learning activities, a communication friendly environment including promoting the use of Makaton. You will understand the need for confidentiality and be able to work sensitively to support learners and their families. You will also be able to demonstrate an ability to work effectively within a team and on your own initiative.
You will have excellent communication skills and a positive approach to working with children.
