Ready to bring your best?Job Description:The Finance Clerk will be responsible for supporting the accounting team with month end financial closing duties, as well as all budgeting, forecasting, and costing activities for the facility.
He/she will compile and submit monthly market reports according to Market Administrator protocol and ensure proper milk accruals as well as perform duties using common accounting practices.Support and analyze drivers of performance of P&LPrepare month end close accruals, journal entries, P&L reconciliations for Finance Administration ManagerDiagnose weekly/monthly material yield and lossAssist the Plant leadership team with assessing functional performance and areas of opportunity for further cost reduction to achieve Plant KPI'sAssist data-driven, fact based information to support decisions enabling productivity measures to reduce overall costTrack Capital expenditures for plantSubmit Milk Market Administrator reportsMilk accrualsAnalyze actual costs versus standard costs and prepare reports of variances.Back up Accounts Payable ClerkCommunicate directly with vendors on discrepancies and resolutionsWork with internal personnel to ensure process flow is followedAssist with month end close related duties including; accruals, account reconciliation etc.Support Finance Manager with weekly dutiesEnsure records are maintained and organizedSettle all incoming bulk liquid receipts with vendorsPrepare monthly advance and final milk paymentsAssist in the preparation of the annual budget and other special projectsSupport internal/external auditsSupport record-retention administration and guidelinesComply with the Saputo Code of Ethics and actively apply the Saputo ValuesPerform other duties as assignedJob Requirements:2 Year Accounting or Finance degree preferred or 5 years general accounting experienceKnowledge of accounts payable and/or general accounting proceduresERP, SAP experience preferred.Strong highly motivated team player with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplinesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, strong MS Excel skillsExcellent verbal, written and organizational skillsAbility to communicate effectivelyExtreme attention to details, well organized with excellent skills in managing time and multi-taskingAbility to work independently and with a team in a fast paced environment with emphasis on accuracy and timelinessPhysical Demands and Working Environment:The employee may be exposed to wet, hot, humid and cold temperatures, moving machinery including forklift traffic, and noise levels exceeding 85dB.The employee must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds independently on an intermittent basis.The employee is regularly required to work in an office, but will spend time in warehouse and production environments.Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.The employee frequently is required to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.Saputo is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
