Role Overview The Client Strategy Manager is responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of client projects — from onboarding and requirement gathering to strategy, execution coordination, client communication, performance tracking with team, approvals, and ongoing growth. This role acts as the central bridge between clients, internal marketing teams, creative teams, developers, SEO specialists, paid media teams, and management, ensuring that projects move forward according to business objectives, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Client Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients. Build and maintain strong, professional client relationships. Understand client businesses, services, target audiences, competitors, challenges, and growth objectives. Conduct regular client communication through email, WhatsApp, meetings, and project channels. Translate client requirements into clear internal tasks and actionable deliverables.
Follow up with clients for approvals, assets, access, payments, content, feedback, and pending decisions. Keep clients informed about project progress, upcoming activities, delays, dependencies, and completed work. Handle client concerns professionally and coordinate internally to resolve issues. Maintain a proactive communication approach rather than waiting for clients to ask for updates. Identify opportunities to improve client satisfaction, retention, and overall account value.
2. Client Onboarding & Project Initiation Manage the initial onboarding process for new clients. Collect required business information like branding assets, website access, Google Business Profile access, social media access and other project requirements. Prepare and share access/requirement sheets. Coordinate payment confirmation and project onboarding requirements. Ensure projects are properly onboarded into the internal CRM/project-management system.
Establish project scope, deliverables, responsibilities, timelines, and dependencies. Coordinate internal kickoff activities between relevant departments. Ensure the team has sufficient information and resources before beginning execution. 3. Project Management: Manage multiple client projects simultaneously. Create, prioritize, and track internal tasks. Coordinate deadlines across multiple departments.
Monitor project dependencies and identify blockers. Follow up with team members on pending tasks. Escalate critical delays or issues to management. Maintain project momentum and ensure deliverables are completed within agreed timelines. Coordinate internal meetings, standups, reviews, and project discussions. Prepare meeting notes, MOMs, action items, and follow-ups. Maintain visibility over project status from initiation to completion 4.
Financial & Commercial Coordination: Coordinate with finance regarding invoices, payment confirmations, renewals, and outstanding payments. Follow up with clients regarding pending payments where required. Track hosting renewals and recurring service requirements. Identify opportunities for additional services and account expansion. Support upselling and cross-selling of relevant agency services.
Ensure commercial commitments remain aligned with actual project scope. 5. Quality Assurance: Before deliverables are shared with clients: Review content for accuracy and completeness. Check design consistency. Verify branding. Review website functionality. Check SEO implementation. Re
