Job Requirements Supports the use of clinical and/or business information systems to advance the use of clinical and operational information systems to improve patient care, safety, quality, and efficiency across the health system. Contributes to the design, optimization, training, and support of electronic health records (EHR) and related applications, enabling data-driven decision-making, seamless care delivery, and the successful integration of health IT solutions throughout inpatient and outpatient settings.
Work is performed under moderate supervision. Direct report to the Manager, Clinical Informatics.Primary ResponsibilitiesThe following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job responsibilities performed.* Partner with interprofessional teams to assess and redesign clinical and business workflows that leverage technology for improved performance and outcomes.* Facilitate innovation in care delivery by integrating health IT solutions that support efficiency, quality, and patient safety.* Evaluate performance across care delivery and business operations, including patient access and the revenue cycle, to identify improvement opportunities.* Support the configuration, testing, deployment, and lifecycle management of clinical and operational applications.* Serve as a key resource during go-lives, upgrades, and system optimizations, offering hands-on support and issue resolution.* Design and deliver user training tailored to clinical and operational roles, including Super Users and leadership stakeholders.* Collect and analyze user feedback to inform continuous system improvements and user experience enhancements.* Extract, analyze, and present data from clinical, financial, and operational sources to support quality, safety, and strategic initiatives.* Guide teams in using data to drive process improvements and performance outcomes.* Act as a liaison between clinical operations and IT, ensuring alignment between user needs and system capabilities.* Translate technical concepts into clear, user-friendly information and transform user feedback into system design recommendations.* Lead or support multidisciplinary workgroups and project teams in advancing informatics initiatives.* Champion the voice of clinical and operational users in system planning and governance.* Contribute to the design, optimization, training, and support of electronic health records (EHR) and related applications, enabling data-driven decision-making, seamless care delivery, and the successful integration of health IT solutions throughout inpatient and outpatient settings, while advocating for equitable design and implementation by identifying and addressing potential biases in data and workflows.* Collaborate with research teams to support clinical trials, data sharing, and integration of research workflows into EHR systems.* Facilitate organizational change by identifying adoption barriers, promoting readiness, and supporting change management strategies.* Remain informed of evolving healthcare regulations, health IT trends, and innovations to guide strategic recommendations.* Perform other duties as assigned.Work Experience Education & Experience - Required* Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Informatics, Allied Health, Information Technology, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.* Minimum 1 year of experience in clinical, healthcare operations, or clinical informatics.* Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, preferably Epic, including implementation, optimization, or upgrade projects.
