Role Summary This senior-level network engineer position involves supporting and optimizing enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and Azure cloud environments. The role requires hands-on experience with routing, switching, and cloud networking components, contributing to network modernization and migration initiatives. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless connectivity and system reliability is essential.
Responsibilities Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise routing and switching to support hybrid cloud connectivity. Support and implement Azure networking components such as Virtual Networks, Peering, NSGs, UDRs, Load Balancers, VPN Gateway, and ExpressRoute. Assist in network migration projects and infrastructure modernization efforts. Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to ensure reliable network performance.
Document network configurations, topology changes, and implementation activities accurately. Participate in change management processes and deployment of network updates in production environments. Troubleshoot network performance issues and connectivity across on-premises and cloud environments. Support enterprise-level network security and compliance requirements. Maintain current knowledge of cloud and enterprise networking best practices and technologies.
Assist in planning and executing network expansion and enhancement projects. Qualifications Proven experience with enterprise routing, switching, and network troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure networking, including VNets, Peering, NSGs, UDRs, Load Balancers, VPN Gateway, and ExpressRoute. Experience supporting hybrid connectivity between on-premises and Azure environments. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and network security practices.
Ability to support large-scale enterprise networks with a focus on reliable connectivity. Excellent documentation skills for network configurations and changes. Relevant certifications such as CCNP Enterprise or Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700) are preferred. Experience with Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, and Cisco ACI environments is a plus. Familiarity with enterprise DNS, load balancing, and data center migration projects.
