CNC PROGRAMMER PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY Pay: £19.00 per hour Hours: Morning & Afternoons (Rotating) Onsite Parking Our client is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer on Milling machines to join their growing manufacturing team in Nottingham. This role is ideal for someone confident in programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce high‑precision components. Key Responsibilities * Create and optimise CNC programmes using CAD/CAM and machine controls * Produce first‑off components to drawing specifications * Improve existing programmes to reduce cycle times * Maintain programme documentation and backups * Set and operate CNC milling machines * Select tooling, fixtures and workholding * Manufacture one‑off and batch components * Carry out tool changes and offsets * Quality check components using verniers, micrometers, bore gauges and height gauges and complete first‑off inspections.
Essential Requirements * Previous experience as a CNC Programmer on milling machines * Ability to read engineering drawings * Strong attention to detail * Good communication and problem‑solving skills Desirable * CAD/CAM programming experience * Experience with Hurco, Haas, Mazak or Fanuc controls * Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent * Knowledge of Haas and Matsuura machinery If you are an experienced CNC Programmer on milling machines and looking for your next move within a precision engineering environment, apply today.
