Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, including holidays until job is complete. Typically, these positions average 40 hours a week.Hours: Beginning between 4:00 and 7:00 a.m. Work schedule is subject to change based upon production needs.Position Summary:This position is responsible for packing eggs, sanitizing egg flats/trays, racks, buggies, and all other hatchery equipment and rooms.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesRunning egg pack machine to pack eggs, using a strapping machine to strap cases of eggs.
(45%)Monitor and record temperatures in the hatchers and setters. (5%)Clean and sanitize Hatchery and Equipment: Operate a high pressure and regular water hose, maintain foot pans and hand sanitizers, pack export eggs into cases, assist Egg Pack Lead as needed, assist Sanitation as needed, maintain a clean and organized work area. (50%)Biosecurity/Animal Welfare Requirements:The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility.
The Company provides appropriate clothing and footwear. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.Physical Demands and Work Environment The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Physical: Must use safe lifting techniques. Must be able to life/move 50 lbs. and must be able to push/pull 500-1000 lbs. Overhead lifting is required.
