Permanent Position: Physician Assistant – Cardiothoracic Surgery Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado   Position Overview Seeking a skilled, full-time PA with a minimum of 3 years' experience in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery and ICU patient management to join a cutting-edge surgical team focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. This is a permanent position — not open to locums or locums-to-perm.

Clinical Responsibilities Assist in complex cardiac surgeries, including endoscopic vein harvesting using the Maquet-Getinge system First assist in operating room procedures Provide perioperative care and manage CVICU and floor patients Participate in 2 full-day clinics/week; additional clinic duties as needed Rotate through OR coverage Monday–Friday Collaborate in a collegial, multidisciplinary environment with surgeons, intensivists, and other care providers Perform bedside procedures and diagnostic evaluations Develop and implement patient care plans and manage follow-ups Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation Operate independently under physician supervision Candidate Requirements Experience: Minimum 3 years in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery and ICU patient management – Required Licensure: Active Colorado PA license (or eligibility to obtain) – Required Certification: Must meet CME requirements and maintain clinical competency Visa Support: Not available Note: System-wide name clearing required before proceeding Compensation & Benefits Compensation Model: Includes quality and productivity bonuses Relocation Bonus: Available for eligible candidates Malpractice Insurance: Provided CME Allowance: Generous stipend for continuing education Retirement: 403(b) with employer match Optional 457(b) plan Insurance Coverage: Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance (includes dependent coverage) Health Savings Account (with HD/HSA plans) Flexible Spending Accounts (healthcare and dependent care) Voluntary benefits: pet insurance, ID theft protection, employee discounts Time Off: PTO available from start date Paid family and medical leave (includes CO FAMLI) Education Benefits: Tuition reimbursement Paid degree programs Lifestyle & Location Located at the base of Pikes Peak, Colorado Springs offers: 247 days of sunshine/year Moderate cost of living Strong military presence and home of the U.S.
