This includes, but is not limited to, organizing project documentation, preparing meeting packages and pricing packages, information distribution with subs and project team members, and operation and maintenance manuals. This role sits within HITT's Industrial group, which delivers new construction, renovations, expansions, and fit-outs across distribution centers, warehouses, manufacturing, aviation, automotive, mission critical, advanced manufacturing, central utility plants, and other complex industrial facilities nationwide.
This position supports a newly awarded industrial campus in Hurt, VA.Project OverviewNewly secured project in southern Virginia supporting a growing industrial market in the regionLarge-scale, long-duration build (100+ weeks) with an established site team structure, including multiple superintendents, assistant superintendents, project managers, and APMsSite setup and mobilization underway now, with groundbreaking next monthBacked by HITT's broader Industrial platform, which collaborates with project stakeholders to develop focused action plans that bring complex projects online as fast and safely as possibleGrowth opportunity within HITT's Industrial group, which also covers advanced manufacturing, mission critical, energy, power generation, and heavy civil workOut-of-town assignment with per diem support for the duration of the projectResponsibilitiesThe Construction Assistant reports directly to the Project ManagerRequired to communicate daily with the Project Management staff, subcontractors, vendors, and clientsEnsure effective communication, consistent quality of work products, and timely delivery of documentation is requiredCommunication must be clear, concise, and professional with style tailored appropriately to the audienceQualificationsFour-year degree from an accredited university is preferredPrior experience with a professional organization with a proven track record of accountability, professionalism, and organization skills is preferredSelf-motivated and proactive - takes initiative and seeks responsibilityExperience with Word, Excel, and other Microsoft-based softwareSoftware proficiency - able to adapt to and learn how to use sector-, project-, and specific software systems, including but not limited to ProCore, Primavera P6, Adobe, and BlueBeamWillingness to work out of town for the duration of the assignment, with per diem providedIntegrity - behaves consistently with The HITT Way in all mattersSelf-development - seeks continuous improvement of knowledge and abilitiesTeamwork and collaboration - able to work collaboratively with people of various backgrounds and stylesCustomer service oriented, committed to going beyond the "normal" call of dutyAbility to recognize The HITT Way and implement HITT philosophyIn accordance with Virginia Senate Bill 215 (SB 215), the base salary range for this position is:$69,300.00 - $85,800.00Compensation in other cities and states may vary.
