Construction Solicitor — Position Overview: Build and develop an existing client portfolio while assisting the ongoing growth of the team Work on a mixture of contentious and non-contentious matters, with the opportunity to lead on appropriate cases Provide supervision to junior team members Full-time, permanent role (37.5 hours per week) with flexibility on office location An existing following and network would be beneficial Key Responsibilities of the Construction Solicitor: Working as part of the Construction & Engineering team on contentious and non-contentious matters, both supporting and managing your own caseload Providing construction support to the Commercial Property and Corporate teams Attending networking events and proactively identifying business development opportunities Raising the profile of the firm within the marketplace Delivering individual targets and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction Building strong relationships with clients and intermediaries Developing technical and non-technical skills, including preparing e-briefings and delivering seminars and workshops Requirements of the Construction Solicitor: Relevant professional qualification or relevant industry experience Strong legal skills, familiar with standard form contracts – JCT, NEC, FIDIC A sound understanding of all stakeholders in construction and engineering projects Experience in different forms of dispute resolution, including TCC court proceedings, arbitration, adjudication, expert determination and mediation Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels Working knowledge of case management systems and Microsoft Office A strong, commercially focused team player who uses initiative and deals confidently with clients and stakeholders The Benefits for the Construction Solicitor role: Competitive Salary Enhanced annual leave plus UK Bank Holidays, a day off for your birthday and additional leave at Christmas Private healthcare and free healthcare cashback plans for you and your family Enhanced pension with 5% matched employer contribution Group Life Assurance at 4x annual salary, plus the ability to buy up to 5 additional holiday days And more If you are a Construction & Engineering Associate looking to join a growing team handling high-quality construction work, apply today.
