Specialist services are spread over 2 sites, Queens Medical Centre and Nottingham City Hospital with most specialities providing clinical services of some kind on both campuses.

The duties are subject to review, in the light of the changing requirements of the service. If alterations to described duties are required these will be mutually agreed between the appointee, their consultant colleagues and the Trust. In addition to providing general medicine, NUH offers services in almost all regional and super regional services within the NHS and there are ample opportunities for career development beyond CCT.

Any consultant who is unable, for personal reasons, to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for the post on a part-time basis; if such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the Trust in consultation with consultant colleagues. For consultants working on bank holidays, an additional day of annual leave will be allowed in lieu for each day.
