Job Summary GIBB seeks a Cost Controller to manage and control project or operational costs, ensuring budgets are met and financial goals achieved. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement cost control procedures and processes. Analyse and monitor budgets, comparing actual costs against budgets and identifying variances. Conduct cost estimates and forecasting for future projects. Identify cost reduction opportunities and recommend cost-saving initiatives.

Monitor and manage financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and cash flow. Collaborate with project teams to meet financial goals and control costs. Review and analyse financial reports (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) for accuracy. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Prepare financial reports and present them to management. Provide guidance and support to teams on financial matters.

Job Requirements Degree or BTech in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Quantity Surveying, or Commerce. Relevant degree or certification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or Accounting. Registration with ECSA/SACPQSP as a Professional is advantageous; must provide certificate with registration number. Relevant experience in project management, engineering, or a related field. PMI registration advantageous.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure. Ability to work independently. Knowledge of financial management principles: budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis. Ability to guide and lead supporting staff. Proficiency in financial software and systems.

MS Office experience required.
