Leigh Academy Wilmington now has an opportunity to appoint two Cover Supervisors to join their dedicated team to provide full support to the staff and students. We are seeking a dynamic individual who is interested in a variety of subjects and enjoys a dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will deliver prepared cover lessons across a variety of subjects and age groups, ensuring the good behaviour of our students and making sure they engage in their learning during the short-term absence of teachers. Cover work will be supplied wherever possible for you to use as a basis for the lessons. While you will cover a broad curriculum, there will be opportunities to concentrate on certain subjects and specialities, and we will work with you to determine your subject specialisms as a preference.

Excellent inter-personal skills are required for this post, as our successful candidate needs to demonstrate that they can build good rapport with staff and students alike. This post is ideal for graduates with an interest in developing a career in teaching, as the experience you gain is first-hand, as well as those who have prior experience within the education sector. Please note that whilst previous experience within an education environment is desirable, full training will be provided.

Applying for this Opportunity Thank you for your interest in joining us. If you'd like to find out more about this role or arrange a visit to the academy, please don't hesitate to contact Charlotte Herberts (Recruitment Advisor): [email protected] / 01634 412 245.
