A completed Matric is essential, coupled with a formal Credit Management / relevant qualification, and 3-5 years Credit Control experience with a proven track record in managing high volume accounts with a book value in the region of R40-45m. Recent experience on SAP is a requirement. KPI's include: Process credit applications, approve credit limits and conduct ongoing credit reviews. Monitor and release blocked orders promptly to maintain excellent customer service.
Allocate customer payments accurately and within agreed turnaround times. Manage and resolve internal and external account queries efficiently. Provide professional customer service via telephone and other communication channels. Proactively manage overdue accounts, follow up on outstanding payments and issue dunning letters. Monitor and action the age analysis, placing overdue accounts on hold in line with company policy.
Process authorised adjustment journals and credit notes accurately. Recommend overdue customers for collections or handover where necessary. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and notes on SAP. Communicate and collaborate effectively with other departments and escalate potential risks or issues to management. Assist with other departmental duties and responsibilities as required. Key Performance Areas: Debtors' days and overdue debt maintained within target.
Effective management of account queries and bad debt. Accurate and timely month-end processing. Prompt escalation and communication of issues. Achievement of customer service and turnaround-time targets.
