Crisis Care Practitioner

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Clinician to join the County South Crisis Team as a Crisis Care Practitioner. The CRHT team provide rapid response and intensive home support for adults who are experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis. We also work with our community teams and partner organisations to provide a range of support options for people experiencing mental health crisis. If you are a confident experienced clinician looking for a new challenge and would like an opportunity to use your skills working in a busy, rewarding and supportive environment we would like to hear from you., We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team of Consultant Psychiatrists, Junior Doctors, Non-Medical Prescribers, Nurses, Social Workers and Support Workers providing rapid response for adults who are experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis., Devolved Management, Leadership and development roleEnsuring and supporting the effective delivery of clinical practice by the CRHT teamProvide mental health assessments within a variety of settingsTriage referrals coming into the serviceWorking collaboratively and in partnership with other statutory, non-statutory and voluntary teams, agencies and organisationsAbility to demonstrate clinical expertise in mental illness / healthTo use interpersonal skills in diffusing potentially emotive situations while undertaking assessments and pathway planning within acute settingsTo demonstrate high level communication skills.Working to a rota shift system covering 24 hours, 7 days a weekTravel is expected as an essential part of the role Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check.

Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies. You will be an experienced Clinician and will have proven post qualification experience. You will have a sound knowledge of risk assessment and demonstrate sound evidenced based practice. Experience of working in a crisis team or community setting will be advantageous., Professional qualification in Mental Health Nursing or Occupational Therapy, at Diploma or degree level Evidence of learning and development post qualification, Relevant post registration experience in adult mental health.
