Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week. Enrolled as a full-time University of Florida graduate student in good standing seeking their degree in counseling or related area of study Successful completion of the core counseling curriculum and first practicum are required; or similar demonstrated academic and clinical experience Be available for 20-hours per week Job Description: The Crisis Intervention Consultant Student Assistant within Housing & Residence Life is responsible for the following: Create education materials, basic workshops, and continuing education trainings for staff related to mental health such as mediation, basic counseling skills, and stress management Provide intervention and consultation, both on-site and over the phone, for residents and Housing & Residence Life staff Serve in an on-call rotation to foster a culture of continuous care responding to student concerns and emergencies utilizing established crisis management and response protocols.

Coordinate with staff and campus partners using established processes to assess needs, resolve crises, and connect residents with appropriate campus and community resources. Observe, document, and report concerns and policy violations using approved reporting systems and timelines Complete assigned administrative tasks such as: Generating reports as directed, completing required forms, and managing communications provided to residents Maintain current knowledge of Housing & Residence Life policies, procedures, emergency protocols, and documentation standards Attend all scheduled staff meetings, trainings, and individual supervisory meetings; participate in required staff development and compliance training modules.
