Overview Are you a passionate and strategic HR leader ready to make a meaningful impact at an iconic resort destination? We're looking for a Director of Human Resources to lead the people strategy at Sheraton Kauai, creating an exceptional team member experience while supporting the hotel's continued success.This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on hospitality HR leader who thrives in a dynamic resort environment and is passionate about building strong teams, developing talent, and creating a culture where people feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.What You'll DoLead and oversee all aspects of Human Resources for the resort, including recruitment, employee relations, talent management, performance management, and HR programs and policiesPartner with the General Manager and senior leadership team to develop and execute HR strategies that support business and operational goalsBuild and strengthen a culture of engagement, accountability, inclusion, and service excellenceDevelop creative strategies to attract, retain, and develop top hospitality talentLead employee engagement, recognition, performance management, and talent development initiativesProvide coaching, guidance, and HR expertise to leaders and team members at all levelsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulationsServe as a trusted advisor to property leadership on employee relations and employment mattersStay current on HR trends, best practices, and evolving employment legislationHelp shape a positive and high-performing workplace culture that reflects the unique spirit of Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach ResortWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred, or a minimum of 4 years of progressive HR experiencePrior hotel or resort HR experience requiredStrong background in employment law, recruiting, employee relations, and talent retentionProven experience leading employee engagement, performance management, and talent development initiativesStrong understanding of EEO, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, and other applicable employment laws and regulationsAbility to effectively advise and influence property leadership on HR mattersStrong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skillsExperience supporting and leading a diverse workforceHigh degree of confidentiality, sound judgment, and common senseAbility to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment and remain flexible through changing prioritiesAffirmative Action experience is a plusSHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferredWhy This OpportunitySheraton Kauai offers the opportunity to combine meaningful HR leadership with the unique experience of working in a destination resort environment.
