Job Title: Director of Site Reliability Engineering / DevOps Location: 100% Remote (United States) Required Technology and Skills: • 10+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles. • 4+ years of experience leading engineering teams while remaining hands-on with architecture, automation, and production operations.
• Deep AWS expertise including ECS, EC2, Auto Scaling, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Load Balancers, and multi-account cloud environments. • Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with AWS CDK, Terraform, OpenTofu , or similar programmatic frameworks. • Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline , CodeBuild , Bitbucket Pipelines, or equivalent technologies.
• Expertise in observability, monitoring, incident response, logging, alerting, and SLO-driven engineering practices. • Cloud security experience including IAM, secrets management, encryption, vulnerability management, and security best practices. • Experience supporting highly available, real-time production platforms at scale. • Strong knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native technologies.
Responsibilities: • Serve as a player-coach, leading and mentoring a small team of highly skilled DevOps and SRE engineers while remaining deeply involved in architecture and operational execution. • Own the reliability, scalability, performance, and security of the company's AWS-based platform. • Drive infrastructure strategy, cloud architecture, deployment automation, and platform modernization efforts.
• Lead incident response, operational excellence initiatives, and continuous improvement of production systems. • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Security, and executive leadership teams. • Participate in on-call rotations and help establish best practices across reliability engineering and platform operations Compensation: • $200,000-$250,000 Base Salary • Equity Package • Comprehensive Benefits Additional Information: This is a rare opportunity to join a fully remote, remote-first organization in a highly visible leadership role.
