Carolina PRG has partnered with a nationwide provider of infrastructure solutions serving commercial organizations, service providers, and government customers. The company is seeking a Division Controller to serve as the financial leader and strategic business partner for an operating division. This position will provide high-level accounting and analytical support to divisional leadership and the corporate finance team while maintaining strong financial controls, producing timely management reporting, supporting audits, and evaluating growth opportunities.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, experience partnering directly with operational leaders, and the ability to oversee complex project financials across a geographically dispersed business. Key Responsibilities Serve as the financial leader for the assigned operating division and a trusted partner to senior operational leaders. Ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with U.S.

GAAP and ASC 606, including percentage-of-completion accounting. Lead reviews of costs incurred to date, estimates to complete, and change-order approvals in coordination with operations to support accurate revenue recognition. Monitor and report project-level billing positions, unbilled revenue, cash flow, profitability, and other key financial metrics. Prepare timely actual and projected project financial reporting across contracts of varying types, sizes, and scopes.

Identify financial and operational issues, evaluate trends and ratios, and recommend actions to improve results. Review divisional financial performance with senior leadership, including financial stability, liquidity, and growth trends. Develop advanced Excel-based reports and analyses that support business decisions. Oversee the division's core financial responsibilities, including accounts receivable, unbilled balances, capital spending, and profitability analysis.

Assess the financial impact of operational decisions and business issues and provide practical recommendations. Assist with monthly operating reports, scorecards, external audits, and other finance initiatives as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field required. Current or prior Big 4/large public accounting firm experience is preferred CPA certification or active progress toward CPA licensure required.

At least five years of progressive accounting or finance experience required. Current or prior construction accounting experience is a plus. Experience with ASC 606, percentage-of-completion accounting, project costing, and operational finance is a plus. MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
