Our ambitious and supportive Early Education and Childcare Service is looking for an exceptional individual to join our team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract as an Early Education and Childcare Sector Coordinator.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to children, families and providers across Tower Hamlets. Working at the heart of our service, you will lead on workforce development, communications and sector engagement, helping to strengthen partnerships and ensure providers have access to the information, training and opportunities they need to deliver high-quality early education and childcare.

About the role This is a varied and rewarding role that combines relationship building, communications, project coordination and service improvement. You will act as a key point of contact for early education and childcare providers, partners and stakeholders, ensuring they receive timely information, advice and support while helping to strengthen partnerships across the borough. You will play a leading role in coordinating our highly regarded Early Education and Childcare Workforce Development Programme, working closely with colleagues across the service and a network of specialist external trainers and partners.

You will commission training based on sector needs, liaise with trainers to develop content, gather and coordinate information to produce a comprehensive termly programme, and ensure learning opportunities are promoted effectively across the borough. From planning and scheduling to managing bookings, attendance, communications and evaluation, you will oversee the programme from end to end, helping to ensure practitioners have access to high-quality professional development that supports continuous improvement and better outcomes for children.

You will also lead on sector communications, coordinating information, website content, social media updates and guidance materials to ensure providers have access to clear, accurate and up-to-date information. You will play an important role in raising the profile of the service and strengthening engagement with the sector.
