You will take responsibility for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons for pupils across Key Stage 1, in line with the National Curriculum. You will create a positive and inclusive learning environment where pupils feel supported, motivated, and encouraged to develop their confidence and independence., Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners. Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching where required.
Create a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment. Support pupils with additional needs, working closely with the SENCO and support staff. Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues. Uphold the school's behaviour policy and promote positive behaviour for learning. Fulfil all professional responsibilities in line with the Teachers' Standards. Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is an Early Career Teacher (ECT).
Has experience teaching in a UK primary school setting (placements accepted for ECTs). Strong knowledge of the KS1 Primary National Curriculum. Confident classroom and behaviour management skills. Passionate, flexible, and committed to raising attainment. Has the right to work in the UK and is available full-time. Available to start ASAP and commit to a long-term role. Desirable (but not essential) Experience teaching within KS1.
Experience supporting pupils with SEN. Strong subject knowledge in phonics, early reading, writing, and mathematics. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a long-term KS1 teaching role in a welcoming Rochdale primary school, with a supportive team and a positive learning environment. The position is full-time, working 8:00am-4:00pm, with the opportunity to continue until the end of the academic year.
