Based in Stroud, this permanent Electrical Assembler role involves building downhole electronic equipment, including power supplies, motor drivers, control units, data loggers, modems and magnetic devices. The successful candidate will follow routings, record test measurements and report any non-conformances. Commercial experience of soldering, crimping and general wiring is essential, along with the ability to detect workmanship issues in precision harsh-environment electronics.
Additional duties include calculations for diagnostic operations, covering ratio, rate, percentage, fractions and weights and measures. IPC certification (IPC 620 and J-STD) is preferred, as is an appreciation of Lean and 5S improvement. Self-assessment to drive ongoing development is expected. Salary: 28,000 to 32,000 per annum.
