We bring you tomorrow's opportunity, today.Volt is immediately hiring Electrical Assembler in Houston, TX 77039As an Electrical Assembler, you will:Responsibilities: Assemble using a variety of hand and power tools and fixtures. Follow work instructions and test equipment. Responsible for assembly and wire panel devices according to electrical schematics. Assembling any enclosure including motor starters (per print), circuit breakers & disconnects (per drawings).
Dimensionally lay out back panels and externally mounted devices. Mount devices to back panels and enclosures using a variety of methods including drilling and tapping steel. Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures. Provides hands on training to coworkers as needed. Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the Company's Quality System. Provide products and services that consistently meet or exceed our internal and external customer's requirements.
Ensure that assembled products meet all print requirements. Participate in training and continued education as required. Performs other duties as assigned. Work overtime as required. This is a Full-time/ Contract, opportunity.The ideal candidate will have:Required Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Relevant work experience with a minimum of one year in electrical and/or mechanical assembly in a manufacturing facility.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a safe and efficient manner. Good mechanical aptitude. Experienced in the proper and safe use of hand and light power tools. Positions require to lift parts weighing in excess of 50 pounds (assistance when needed) and to work in a bending, standing, or squatting positions for long periods of time (excess of one hour). Effective communication skills: verbal and written (English).
