Key Responsibilities Manage and optimise electrical systems and equipment within the manufacturing facility. Provide technical support to the Maintenance and Production teams. Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and control system faults. Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance strategies. Investigate recurring equipment failures and conduct root-cause analysis. Assist with the installation, commissioning and upgrading of electrical equipment.
Manage and support electrical engineering projects from concept through to implementation. Work with PLC, VSD, instrumentation and control systems. Ensure electrical equipment complies with relevant safety standards and regulations. Review electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation. Liaise with contractors, suppliers and service providers when required. Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, energy efficiency and production performance.
Assist with budgeting, procurement and technical evaluation of electrical equipment. Ensure compliance with company, health, safety and environmental requirements. Maintain accurate engineering and maintenance documentation. Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives. Minimum Requirements BEng/BSc/BTech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification. 3–5+ years' experience in an electrical engineering role within a manufacturing, industrial or production environment.
Strong experience in electrical maintenance and fault-finding. Practical experience with PLC systems, VSDs, automation and control systems. Good understanding of industrial electrical systems and machinery. Experience with engineering projects, installations and commissioning. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics. Strong knowledge of preventative and breakdown maintenance principles.
Computer literate with good technical reporting skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Advantageous GCC Factories. ECSA registration or professional registration in progress. Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Exposure to SCADA, instrumentation and industrial automation. Project management experience. Experience with energy management and efficiency projects.
