About This JobThe main purpose of this job is to prevent and limit loss to the bank on a variety of consumer card products.

This role will handle incoming customer calls and questions regarding debit, credit, and corporation cards and setup and provide maintenance related to Commerce Bank consumer card products.Essential FunctionsReview account activities, and provide reporting and product changesMinimize risk to the Bank and ensure compliance with Visa, MasterCard, and federal regulationsMonitor several centralized email boxes and various systems to respond to customer inquiries in a timely and accurate mannerProvide high touch customer service that reflects empathy and a positive attitude when responding to customer's questions and requests via phone/emailAdhere to all internal controls to mitigate riskServe as a backup to other positions in the departmentPerform other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills & Abilities RequiredBasic knowledge of association and federal regulationsBasic analytical, initiative, independent thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and escalate issues as appropriateMotivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesInquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core ValuesBasic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook Education & ExperienceAssociate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required1+ year banking operations experience requiredExperience within the credit/debit card industry preferred*Hybrid Schedule: In office 2 days per week **Level of role is determined by knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.***For individuals applying, assigned and/or hired to work in areas with pay transparency requirements, Commerce is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for some roles.

This compensation range is for the Electronic Services Specialist - Bankcard and Senior Electronic Services Specialist - Bankcard job and contemplates a wide range of factors that are considered in determining most appropriate job level and making compensation decisions, including but not limited to location, skill sets, education, relevant experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable differentials (geographic, bilingual, or shift) that could be associated with the position or where it is filled. At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation.
