JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: H-MD-134316 Profession: Physician Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Kingsport, Tennessee Facility: Holston Valley Medical Center Health System: SCP Health - Locums Coverage Period: Aug 29, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: Various shifts (e.g., 6a-2p, 11a-7p, 2p-10p, 5p-1a, 10p-6a) Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered FACILITY INFORMATION Support Staff Available: NPs and PAs JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board certification required in Emergency Medicine (ABEM, ABFM, or ABIM accepted) Licenses: Active TN medical license and DEA with TN address DEA / CDS: Active DEA with TN address, schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4,5 Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS (if not BC in EM); NRP required for non-ABEM providers Experience: EM residency graduates within the past 12 months acceptable Other Qualifications: Preeclampsia-Eclampsia CME required; case logs for the last 2 years DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients of all ages.

Supervise and collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. Perform emergency procedures as required (e.g., intubations, central lines). Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation. Adhere to hospital protocols and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
