Quick Facts Location: Clinton, NC Start Date: 08/27/2026 End Date/Duration: Ongoing or as specified Shift: 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM or 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) Hours/Week: Variable based on schedule Employment Type: Contract / Temporary Licensure/Certifications: Valid license in North Carolina, NC Medicaid credentialed, enrolled in PECOS Experience: Prior emergency medicine experience preferred Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00/hr Benefits include: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You’ll Do Provide solo coverage in an open ICU setting within the ED Manage approximately 90-100 patients daily, with each physician seeing 18-20 patients in a 12-hour shift Collaborate with a team of one physician and two mid-level providers for 24/7 emergency coverage Document patient care in Meditech EMR (version 6.1) Handle complex cases, including high-acuity presentations and diverse pediatric and adult emergency conditions Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and quality standards Participate in team briefings and quality improvement initiatives What You Need Valid North Carolina medical license and current NC Medicaid credentialing Enrolled in PECOS Minimum of 1-2 years of emergency medicine experience (preferred) Strong clinical judgment and communication skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment About the Assignment This emergency medicine position is based at a leading hospital in Clinton, North Carolina, featuring a busy emergency department with an annual patient volume of approximately 32,000.

The ED operates with a standard solo coverage model during 12-hour shifts, providing an excellent opportunity for experienced EM physicians to deliver high-quality care in a supportive setting. Housing is provided in hospital-owned apartments, with travel costs capped at $500.
