Overview Faircape Health Tokai Estate is a Sub-Acute Care and Rehabilitation Centre providing restorative care for patients recovering from neurological, orthopaedic, surgical, and other medical conditions. We are seeking experienced Enrolled Nursing Auxiliaries (ENAs) to join our nursing team permanently at Tokai Estate in Cape Town. Key Responsibilities Handover and Patient Care Participate in shift handovers and accurately record patient observations.

Conduct regular patient observations: catheter care, pressure care, blood pressure monitoring, intake/output monitoring, vital signs, oxygen saturation, Hb/Hgt monitoring, urine testing, weighing patients, administering eye drops. Clinical Duties Perform wound dressings as prescribed and document wound progress. Report changes in patient condition to Shift Leader immediately. Perform additional clinical duties within ENA scope of practice.

Maintain patient dignity, comfort, and safety; collaborate with multidisciplinary team. Electronic Care Plan and Recordkeeping Record all care and interventions accurately in electronic care plan system. Provide input to Shift Leader regarding care plan amendments. Ensure patient records are accurate, complete, and updated timely. Administration and Reporting Monitor and replenish continence-care supplies.

Complete handover book thoroughly. Report completed duties, patient concerns, and condition changes promptly. Comply with infection prevention, nursing protocols, and facility policies. Requirements Qualifications Qualified Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary with current SANC registration. Experience and Knowledge Previous experience in hospital, rehabilitation, or sub-acute healthcare advantageous. Experience with neurological, stroke, orthopaedic, surgical, and geriatric patients advantageous.

Knowledge of basic nursing care, patient observations, pressure care, infection prevention and control. Skills and Attributes Compassionate, patient-focused, strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to work under pressure, identify and report changes in patient condition. Professional, reliable, well-presented, computer literate. Specific Requirements Clear health, criminal, and credit records; contactable references.

Working Hours Day shifts 07h00–19h00 per operational roster, Monday to Sunday including weekends and public holidays. Remuneration Market-related cost-to-company salary based on experience, qualifications, and skills.
