Equipment & Materials Driver ID: 1754 Location: Sacramento, CA Position Overview We are looking for a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. This position involves transporting materials and equipment from our Sacramento shop to various job locations throughout California and parts of Nevada. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, comfortable operating a manual 18-speed transmission, and able to work independently in a variety of outdoor conditions.
Responsibilities ● Load and unload materials and equipment in Sacramento ● Transport materials and equipment to job locations throughout California and parts of Nevada ● Safely load and unload the truck using a reach lift ● Gather and organize materials and equipment needed for upcoming jobs at the shop ● Assist with various tasks and projects at the shop as needed ● Perform routine inspections and help ensure the truck and trailers remain in safe, operational condition ● Secure loads properly and follow all applicable safety procedures ● Communicate effectively with the superintendent and foreman’s regarding deliveries and schedules Requirements ● 1–3 years of truck driving experience preferred ● Flatbed experience is a plus ● Experience operating a manual 18-speed transmission ● Ability to safely lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
● Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions ● Reliable and committed to on-time deliveries ● Maintain the truck and ensure all required inspections are current and up to date ● Experience operating a pickup truck with multiple different trailers including gooseneck. ● Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record ● Strong attention to safety and detail SAK Construction is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer and participates in E-Verify.
